Short summary of your work history: What position did you start in? Where are you now?

I started as a Customer Service back office team member where I was responsible for incoming orders processing via the system and front office team support. One year later, I became a Team Coordinator, leading a team of 10. Throughout the years in this position I learned a lot about managerial skills and finally moved to my current role, IT Help Desk Coordinator.

 

Description of your current position: Responsibilities, daily tasks, what do you enjoy etc.

As an IT Help Desk Coordinator, I´m responsible for flawless workflow distribution and effective support of our colleagues from various Sony DADC sites and offices. They contact us whenever they need a new software installation, access to Sony DADC internal systems or just anytime they need help in case something went wrong with their hardware or software. I always enjoy being able to solve an issue I´ve never encountered before and learn something new from each experience.

 

Why would you recommend Sony DADC as an employer? If you could choose one thing you like the most, what would it be?

There are more things, why I would recommend Sony DADC as an employer, but what I mostly appreciate is that unique combination of a feeling of certainty (even in times of crisis), and the human and understanding approach.

Short summary of your work history: What position did you start in? Where are you now?

I started with Sony in 2013 as a Team Leader in ESC customer services for our German and French video clients. Two years later, I began supporting the Retail Operations Manager and became their official back-up. 2015 was a very special year for me in general – besides taking on some additional responsibilities I also got directly involved in the onboarding of one of our key clients and gained a lot of experience within the area of Project Management. Soon, Sony DADC provided me with the next opportunity to grow and since 2016 I´ve been supporting the business in the role of Retail Operations Manager within the distribution area.

 

What do you like about your team/colleagues?

I really appreciate being a part of our ESC team as from my perspective we are always able to support each other, cooperate on various topics across all departments which really helps to get through all the business challenges. I´m always proud of my teams, seeing the overall level of their commitment, professionalism and it is great to see my colleagues grow, move to new roles, gain expertise and become real experts in the area of Order to Cash. It is not just work which brings us together – many of my colleagues have become my friends over the past years and I´m very happy to have them in my life!

 

Why would you recommend Sony DADC as an employer? If you could choose one thing you like the most would what it be?

Obviously, the Sony brand itself naturally attracts one´s attention. Personally, being a part of the Sony family for almost 8 years, I would recommend our company as an employer mainly for its culture, values and stability. I´ve been given great opportunities to develop myself in many ways and I´m always glad to see my colleagues grow – this is possible thanks to the open approach of our superiors and colleagues who appreciate and acknowledge our success but also have our backs when necessary.

Short summary of work history of the respective employee: What position did you start in? Where are you now?

In 2013, Sony DADC was looking for a Process Specialist – someone, who would take a look at the rapidly growing processes inside the company, map them, standardize them and improve them. The position promised diverse tasks and project-oriented work. So, I said to myself: ”Well, this looks like a great experience for a couple of years!” Those “couple of years” turned into nine years and over that time the role of Process Specialist naturally evolved into a Business Analyst, which is my current position.

 

What do you like about your team/colleagues?

People familiar with role playing games know, that in most adventures they can’t complete all the quests just by themselves. You always need a good warrior, mage, rogue, healer… specialists with specific skill sets for every possible situation. And that’s exactly my team. Add a great sense of humour, selflessness and the attitude to face anything into the mix and you’ll understand, why I actually look forward to see my colleagues at work every chance I get.

 

Which Sony DADC benefits do you enjoy the most?

The chance to work both from office and home as needed is simply one of the best benefits, that I very much enjoy

Short summary of work history of the respective employee: What position did you start in? Where are you now?

After returning from Scotland, I had several job offers and decided to work for Sony DADC in Štěnovice, where I started in the Preparation Department and later worked as a Production Planner. However, I was still drawn to a management position where I could capitalize on the years of experience I had gained from other multinational companies. I eventually managed to work my way up to Shift Supervisor and then Shift Manager. I currently work as an Area Manager of two departments where our products are assembled and packaged.

 

Description of your current position: Responsibilities, daily tasks, what do you enjoy?

My role is to plan capacity and ensure that orders are produced on time and to the highest possible quality. To create and improve an efficient working environment for the production team in light of the ever-changing demands of our customers and the market. I work with great people who continually demonstrate their teamwork, enthusiasm for results, reliability and flexibility, as evidenced by the results we have achieved throughout Sony DADC’s time here in Štěnovice.

 

Why would you recommend Sony DADC as an employer? If you could choose one thing you like the most would what it be?

The Sony brand stands for quality, strength and I am honoured to be a part of this brand and highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys new challenges with unlimited career opportunities. For me, the biggest advantage is the possibility to wear casual clothes, as there is no mandatory dress code.

Short summary of work history of the respective employee: What position did you start in? Where are you now?

I have worked at Sony DADC since 2011. I started as a new temporary worker in the Manual Department and then moved to the Preparation Department where I worked for the next two years. During this time I became thoroughly familiar with all the important processes used in the various departments of our company. I have always tried to do the best job possible, and I think that is why I was offered the position of Production Planner in 2013, which I gladly accepted. I am still working as a planner today, I enjoy my job a lot and I always try to do it in the best possible way.

 

Description of your current position: Responsibilities, daily tasks, what do you enjoy?

My main task is to correctly plan orders each day for all production departments in Sony DADC, and I am also responsible for supervising their completion and preparation for shipment on the date agreed with the customer. I work on these tasks with my colleagues, the heads of the various departments and I also communicate with customer service.

 

Why would you recommend Sony DADC as an employer? If you could choose one thing you like the most would what it be?

Good work is always backed by happy people. I appreciate that our company strives to make everyone feel good at work and do their best. As an employer, I would highly recommend Sony DADC to everyone as a thriving and stable company that knows that the foundation of success is a great working team and that always strives to reward a job well done financially. For me personally, the most important thing is a good atmosphere in the workplace and excellent relationships between the individual members of our team – thanks to this we can do a good job and overcome problems that arise more easily.

Short summary of work history of the respective employee: What position did you start in? Where are you now?

I started working at Sony DADC in 2010 in the Hand Packing Department as a regular employee. During the first year, I got a position as an operator in automatic assembly through helping out on various machines, which I held for 3 years. After that I worked as a Preparation Operator for 2 years, Production Planner for 3 years and now I am a Shift Supervisor in the Manual Packaging Department.

 

Description of your current position: Responsibilities, daily tasks, what do you enjoy?

In this position, I am responsible for the manual product assembly department, quality and safety, overseeing assembly efficiency and work environment safety. I have 12 direct reports and approximately 50-150 agency workers indirectly (depending on volume of work). This position is all about communicating with people and motivating them to perform at their best.

 

What do you like about your team/colleagues?

The teamwork and overall makeup of the people in the company is one of the reasons I have worked here for almost 12 years. No matter what position I have worked in, I have always had great colleagues around me who have always been there to advise and support me in difficult work moments. I can say that working at Sony DADC has given me valuable experience and friends for life.
