Component Preparation

Mastertapes

Mastertapes contain the music, video, data or similar input that you want to have replicated by Sony DADC. If you need Sony DADC to help you prepare your master, please see Audio Premastering, ROM Premastering and DVD Authoring.

If you want to apply one of Sony DADC's copy control solutions to protect your product from content piracy, click here for more information.

Labelfilm

The print on the body of the disc is called the label print. The data for the label print has to be provided in accordance to the type of print you want for your product:

  • Pantone Duplex / Triplex Print (Screenprinting) – 34 lines/cm
  •  Picture Disc (Screenprinting) – 54 lines/cm
  • High Definition Picture Disc (Offsetprinting) – 80 lines/cm

Templates for label creation are provided in Downloads. Visit our Graphic Studio for help with the creation of your disc label.

Artwork & Packaging

Sony DADC offers a huge variety of disc packaging options which can be perfectly tailored to your needs. To customise the artwork to your own design (e.g. the print on the carton sleeve or the paperwork inserted into the jewel case), artwork films would need to be prepared in advance.

Information on different Artwork & Packaging options, as well as the specifications downloads are available here.
